Here is a little guide to help you choose the correct tyre:
It may seem that the lettering on your tyres is complicated.
These codes tell you everything that you may need to know about your tyre.
Look at the diagram above - Every tyre code will be different, the tyre width, tyre profile, tyre size and the speed rating.
Look at the number 185
This relates to the Section (Tyre Width)
This code is the width of the tyre in millimetres.
Look at the Number 75
This relates to the Profile
This code is the height of the sidewall on the tyres and is a percentage of the width.
This is sometimes referred to as the aspect ratio.
The Code letter R simply means Radial Contruction
Look at the Number 14
This relates to the Rim Size
This code relates to the diameter of the tyre's inner rim in inches
Look at the Number 82
This relates to the Tyres Load Rating
This code represents the Load Capacity of the Tyre (eg 560Kgs per wheel)
Look at the Letter S
This relates to the Tyres Speed Rating
This codeshows you the maximum speed for the actual tyre (When tested at that speed for 24hrs straight)
