Spiral perforated
3" Round, 12" Length, 2" Bore, Centre to Centre. A centre to centre configuration refers to a silencer that has a centre exit on each end, so the exhaust gases pass straight through.
Acting akin to the rifle barrel in a gun, the vortex effect generates a unique exhaust sound and creates a super free flow performance enhancing effect, leading to bhp increases. The spiral shape makes use of wasted energy, in the form of exhaust pressure, to accelerate gas over a profiled shape, creating a vortex. This creates low pressure in front of the spiral, resulting in a vacuum effect. This low pressure allows the engine to evacuate exhaust gases efficiently. Devised as a solution to reduce back pressure, the effect of scavenging the exhaust gases in front of the vortex allows the engine to breathe freely with little or no gas leakage back in to the combustion chamber, allowing cleaner air into the cylinder for more complete combustion. The spiralling acceleration of gas out of the system ensures no further build-up of back pressure occurs, which can result in additional power, torque, MPG and reduce emissions, engine stresss and turbo lag. The spiral per design has been proven in motorsport, and now made affordable by Top Gear.
